Exmouth Surf Centre (formally Exmouth Kite Centre) was established in 2013 and born from a love of the Ningaloo area and the watersport activities the region is perfect for. Co founders Jana and Tom had been travelling the world in search of a kiting and surfing Nirvana and needed to search no more when they landed in Exmouth, North Western Australia. Its perfect beaches, consistent breezes and plentiful surf meant the search was over and this would now become home.

How it all Started

Tom already an IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) kite surf instructor with experience teaching the world over decided this would be the perfect spot to introduce others to his passion of kitesurfing so began running lessons part time with Jana helping out in the background with all the other bits and pieces. Word got out as to just how good a location for learning Exmouth was and as demand grew ESC quickly became a busy kite school with Tom now focusing on the day to day runnings full time.

In 2014 ESC added surfing and SUP to the activities on offer. Again born from a passion for sharing our experiences and knowledge with others and the joy of introducing people to the sports we are passionate about.

All the lessons and clinics we offer come from a genuine passion, when we are not helping our customers out with Kitesurfing, Surfing and SUP’ing you can find us at the beach either Kitesurfing, Surfing or SUPing, we love all parts of what we do. We feel that by combining these three surfing disciplines with our local Exmouth conditions you can always score a session. If you ask us the question on which we prefer, we honestly couldn’t give you an answer, they are each uniquely awesome and all have a place in our heart.

We are genuinely excited and grateful for every customer that joins us and hope that this comes across in the way we operate. Exmouth is located on the Coral Coast in Western Australia. Right on the doorstep of the Ningaloo Reef, a perfect spot for Surfing, Kitesurfing and SUPing. The Cape Range National Park offers pristine beaches and clear, clean water.

Our shop is based in Exmouth on 441 Murat Road, conveniently located on the main road with easy access and parking.
